What Is The All-On-4® Treatment Concept?

The All-On-4® Treatment Concept uses the placement of four dental implants in your upper and/or lower arch to secure your denture device permanently in place. Because the implants are longer and placed at an angle, available bone density is often not a concern for placement. Patients love full arch dental implants for many reasons, including:

Placement Of All-On-4® Treatment Concept

The placement of your full mouth dental implants begins with an examination by one of our dentists. Together, you will decide on a treatment plan that is best for you. This implant retained denture system takes your denture, either one that you already have, or one that we can create for you, and surgically attaches it to your jaw with four titanium posts placed directly into your jawbone.

We use titanium because it is biocompatible. Titanium is used for repairs by surgeons all over the human skeleton, including knees and hips, because your body will not reject it and will actually grow around and on it, incorporating the titanium into your bone, bonding it to the bone for a strong and firm hold.

Healing

Though the patient can use their newly retained dentures immediately, they will need to take caution for about three months after placement. We will advise the patient to eat soft foods and to avoid anything crunchy or hard while the bond, known as osseointegration, is occurring. Once the implants are firmly in place, you can resume eating the foods you love without fear of your teeth coming loose or shifting.
