Soft Tissue Treatment without Scalpels

Minimally Invasive Laser Dentistry

If you’re worried about the discomfort associated with conventional periodontal treatment, you can choose the minimally invasive alternative! Laser dentistry eliminates the need (in most cases) for scalpels, incisions, or sutures, making your treatment more comfortable and your recovery even faster. As a team of periodontists, we’re already specialized in diagnosing and treating soft tissue concerns, including gum disease. We’ve spent decades perfecting conventional cut-and-sew treatment methods, and with great success.

However, we’ve received extensive clinical hands-on training in laser dentistry using the PerioLase® MVP-7™ dental laser. Now, we can provide an even more precise, comfortable, and predictable treatment experience for you. Most of our patients report such minimal discomfort after their procedure that they return to work and normal activities the day after treatment… and sometimes even the same day. By choosing laser periodontal treatment, you’ll experience many benefits for your actual procedure and your recovery.

Our Laser Periodontal Services

Frenectomy
The frenulum is the piece of soft tissue that connects the upper lip to the mouth as well as the tongue to the mouth. If too tight, these tissues can cause restriction of movement that can affect nursing, eating, swallowing, speech, and even posture. Our laser frenectomy quickly removes a portion or all this tissue so the lip and tongue can move and function more freely.

Gingivectomy
A gingivectomy is the removal of gum tissue from around the teeth. This removal can be to correct a “gummy” smile, treat gum disease, or create room for a restoration to be attached. Our laser gingivectomies are very precise and comfortable, with cauterization effects that help your gum tissue heal faster after treatment.
2
Gum Disease Treatment
We’re trained and licensed to offer LANAP® for treating gum disease. Our PerioLase dental laser is specifically designed for laser gum therapy use and is incredibly effective at killing disease-causing bacteria, eradicating damaged gum tissue, and reshaping bone. We use this laser to also create healthy clotting at the treatment site and to stimulate the regeneration of new ligament, tissue, and bone.
3
Peri-Implantitis Treatment
Our PerioLase dental laser is proven to treat dental implants, tissue, and bone affected by peri-implantitis. Though we also offer conventional scalpel-based methods, LAPIP™ is highly effective at vaporizing bacteria and diseased tissues. Using this protocol, we can save your dental implant investment and help improve your overall oral health.
